The Sabian Symbols were delivered into our time-space reality by the astrologer, Marc Edmund Jones, and clairvoyant, Elsie Wheeler, in 1925. The Sabian symbols are the unique set of symbolic descriptive images, which were derived from an ancient Mesopotamian source through channelling session.

Let's try and explain what the symbols are, and how they work.

Lets start with astrology – something we are pretty familiar with. We all know there are 360 degrees in a circle – or wheel. 360 degrees then corresponds to the astrological wheel, from a typical Astrology reading. We all know there are 12 signs of the zodiac from Aries to Pisces, and with a little math, it makes 30 degrees for each star sign (360 divided by 12 = 30). Fundamentally that’s how astrology works, where your planets lie at the time of birth is described in a star sign, a degree placement and a house placement.

The best way to show this is – you know SOMEONE who says I'm not a typical - Virgo - for example. That's because there are 30 different Virgo types. ASTROLOGICAL Versus SABIAN SYMBOLS

Each Sabian Symbol is not only a ‘picture or image’ and a body part, but also has a corresponding numerological value that harmonizes with its dominant star sign. As a very brief example, here is the same Sabian Symbol list as above including planet and sabian symbol image, and adding a very simple interpretation, body part and numerology. (Keep in mind we round up the astrological degree/minutes to the whole degree.)
