The following meditation is simple, though not necessarily easy. It might be deemed as one for beginners, yet, if you have not come here for a while, it may be time to revisit. Breath is basic to life. It is the means by which lifeforce (prana or chi) flows through the physical body, connecting it to All That Is. Take the time. It is yours. Those who are following a discipline will want to follow the structure of that discipline for positioning of the body. Those fresh to the practice may wish to find a body position that is comfortable enough to endure for at least 20 minutes. Sitting with legs crossed, or in a lotus position, seated in a comfortable chair with adequate support for the back, or lying down on a comfortable and supportive place, be it floor, sofa, or mattress are all suitable. In fact a place in nature upon the ground or even upon a comfortable, supportive stone can be quite inspiring for this meditation exercise. We are dealing in inspiration, after all. Clear your space and body of discomforts and distractions. Do not worry if you fall asleep during the exercise. The meditation will complete itself accordingly. Sleep can be a benefit and a journey itself. Once positioned, let the cares and concerns in your mind and heart ease and find a comfortable spot in a safe corner of your mind where they can wait for you quietly. Let your focus gently come to the air around you. Feel the air move around you. Gently notice the movement. Feel it upon your skin. Gently notice how it feels upon your skin. Notice it at different areas of your skin. Notice your reaction to the air. Release control of the air. Release control of the skin’s interplay with the air. Bring your focus gently to your breath. Notice your breath without controlling it. Notice the depth of the breath. Feel the path of the breath. Where does it go? Feel the air in the breath upon the inner body. Notice where it goes and how it feels. Follow the breath back out in the exhalation. Release control of the breath. Let it show you where you are. Let it educate you. Release the need to time the breath and let it show you your time. Gently let the breath come into harmony with the heartbeat. Release control of the breath and the heartbeat. Let them educate you. Gently allow your awareness to combine the air flow around your body to harmonize with each breath you take, flowing in and out at its own measure. Let prana breathe you. Let prana/chi breathe you. Release control to prana/chi. Become one with prana/chi, the flow of life. Let it educate you. As it shows you who you are, release attachments that do not fit. Release control of the breath to prana/chi. Let prana/chi breathe you. Breath comes from within and without you. You are beyond the physical bounds of one body. There is no need to go to another place, nor a reason to stay where you began. You are safely here and everywhere. Let prana/chi breathe you. Let prana/chi lead you on journeys of discovery that are not limited to the external or the internal. Prana/chi may simply sit with you and breathe you without journey. Let it educate you. Let prana/chi breathe you. As you feel prana/chi release your breath back to you, notice the breath. Feel it enter. Feel it travel the body through the nose and skin. Notice how the skin inhales and exhales with the nose. Does the skin rise and fall with the nose, or is the skin exhaling while the nose inhales? Feel the breath return to you. Feel prana/chi return your breath to you. Feel prana/chi rejoin the air to be inhaled and exhaled with your choice. Gently bring your consciousness to your body and its position. If you feel control must return, take it back gently. Take only as much as you need and release any excess back to prana/chi. As your focus returns to your daily practice of physical consciousness, move gently, returning as a space module returning to earth with celestial payloads to explore upon full return. Let yourself open each gift of prana/chi through your days with the smile that forms around your face and the song of your heartbeat. Peace and Love in the Light. If you are working with a particular crystal, feel free to employ it during this meditation.
