Stone Attributes & Usage Care
and Programming of Crystals Please note that this listing is not all inclusive of possible attributes and usages available with any stone or crystal. The information in this section, does not seek to replace the diagnosis, help, advice or treatment from conventional medical practitioners. The information contained on these pages, is to help those interested, to aid the conventional treatment of minor complaints of a non-serious nature. The author and Awesome Universe does not take any responsibility for any decision or action taken by an individual as a result of the information contained within these pages. The term stone refers to the size, while crystal refers to the geological formation process. For our purposes the terms stone and crystal are used interchangeably. Listen to your own intuition and explore what information you can derive from any stone or crystal. Stones can be great teachers of patience. The more patience you are willing to spend with any stone, the more it will reveal to you of yourself and your world. Each stone or crystal has been found to resonate with an astrological sign, as well as a number. Those attributes, where found, are included here. Care
and Programming of Crystals Some means of clearing crystals include: • Setting the crystal in the path of the sun (clouds will not deter the rays) for up to one week to let the Father Energy clear it. • Setting the crystal in the light of a full moon phase to let the Mother Energy clear it. • Bury the crystal in clean (as unpolluted as possible) soil for one week to let the Earth Energy clear it. Mark the place so you remember where to find it ;-) . • If not water soluble, rinsing with cool/cold water • Blowing on the crystal, like blowing dust from anything left too long - only there is no dust blown back into the eyes ;-) • Setting the crystal in a container of sea salt may draw negative or draining energies, but do not use this method on minerals that can be damaged by the salt. • Set an intention for the crystal to be cleared. Sounds simple, but you need to be clear yourself, to clear the crystal. Know your self. To program a crystal place the crystal in your dominant hand, the one you write with. Quietly hold the clear intention you wish the crystal to focus upon or utilize. Send this intention of what qualities you wish it to use, and what situation you may wish to use it for. Allow in your intention that the outcome be set to the highest good for all involved, and that you will gladly accept a greater outcome than you can immediately envision. This allows the Universal Energy to provide not only your wildest dreams, but to go beyond them, if it is in the greatest good. Hold the crystal, sending your intention, until you feel the programming is clearly passed to the crystal. Let the crystal rest and assimilate for a few minutes. If you have programmed an energy that is directed to yourself, perhaps a healing quality you are seeking, pick up the crystal with your non-dominant hand and, giving this a few moments, sense if you feel the energy flow in the programmed manner. If after a few minutes, you feel nothing at all, let the crystal and yourself rest and assimilate at least an hour before trying the programming again. Try not to underestimate the power of your programming. Sometimes the receiving process needs to be built or rebuilt before the full effect of the crystal’s energy is recognized. If you are comfortable working from the heart, try programming a crystal while it rests at your heart chakra area. Send your intentions through your heart, rather than your hands. The results may surprise or even shock you, for the heart will not lie. It will redirect false intentions to true intentions, and you will feel the difference, even if uncomfortably. Some Crystal Usages
MEDITATION Consider placing the crystal in the palm of the hand through which you feel you receive energy. For most people, that will be the hand they do not write with. Explore this practice with both palms. Learn how it works best for you. In the process of meditation, there may come the point where you no longer feel the crystal in your hand. At that point, you may find you have bridged the separation between yourself and the crystal. See what you find there. The crystals may also be worn during meditation as pendants or necklaces placed at a chosen chakra point, as a bracelet on a receiving or giving wrist, or as earrings balancing the mind energy of the major and minor chakras of the head. MANIFESTATION No wish of the heart is unheard or ungranted. Knowing your heart will help you see the manifestations you have achieved. The adage of “be careful what you wish for, you might get it” applies here. Stones/crystals can help you see the truth of the manifestation, if you will listen and watch. PROTECTION ELIXIRS As with any other crystal usage, the lack of programming can result in mixed or less-than-desired outcomes. Programming tells the crystal which of it’s many attributes are sought in a given usage. Beware of taking intentions for granted. Your heart holds many intentions. Let the crystal know exactly which intention you are addressing and which attribute you are seeking. There are two methods of preparing an elixir. Please note that crystals available in our shoppe which are not best suited for the normal method are noted in the shoppe details. “The normal method for the manufacture of a mineral elixir requires a mineral, distilled water (or other non-polluted liquid), a glass jar or bowl, and patience. The mineral is placed within the liquid within the glass jar; no metal should contact the liquid. The container is then placed in the sun/moon for at least 24 hours, after which the resultant elixir may be consumed.” As water has been shown to be affected by thought/heart intentions and energy directed to it, the importance of clear, positive programming in this procedure is not to be understated. “An enhanced normal method of elixir preparation involves placing the container, containing the mineral and distilled water, in the sun on the day of the full (or new) moon, allowing for the energy transfer to progress during the following seven days. The container is then placed in a dark location for seven days with the placement of seven, of the same minerals of which the elixir is being prepared, surrounding and pointing toward the center of the elixir, if the seven like-minerals are not available, quartz crystals may be substituted. After fourteen days, one ounce of brandy (or other food-grade alcohol) is mixed with the liquid in order to stabilize and maintain the frequencies of the contained energies; this preparation is known as the ‘mother’ elixir. The mother elixir should be stored in glass and in a dark location. It may be consumed via placing 2 - 3 drops under the tongue and/or via drinking a reconstituted liquor (reconstitution is accomplished by placing 2 - 3 drops in one gallon of distilled water).” “An alternative method for preparation of unusual elixirs is to place the mineral within a glass container and to place this container within the distilled water; the remainder of the procedure is the same as described above” for the normal method. “This method alleviates potential of contamination of the elixir by toxic chemicals contained within or upon the mineral and prevents the dissipation of minerals which are soluble in water and/or are very soft.” A reminder that crystals available through our shoppe that need the alternative method for preparing an elixir are identified in the shoppe description. “Agate is a variegated class of chalcedony, usually exhibiting coloured bands or other markings. Some agate is not patterned. Agate provides “for balancing of the yin-yang energy and for balancing of the physical, emotional, and intellectual bodies with the etheric energies. LACE AGATE “Blue lace agate displays a blue and white lace pattern. It can help one to reach extremely high spiritual spaces. It contains the qualities of flight, air, movement, and grace. It is a highly inspirational influence when used for inner attunement.” Chakras most attuned to this mineral are the 5th (throat), 6th (third eye), and 7th (crown). Melody suggests that Blue Lace Agate may be used in treatments of arthritic conditions, hereditary bone deformities, and general skeletal strength, including mending of breaks and fractures. It is said to be helpful in “removing blockages from the nervous system and from the capillaries of the body”. Treatment of disorders of the pancreas and glands “inherently associated with digestion” may also be useful. AMAZONITE “Amazonite is a type of feldspar which crystalizes in the form of short prismatic crystals, tabular crystals, or masses. It usually occurs in the turquoise colour and is sometimes found with yellow, white, or grey portions.” Amazonite “provides for pacification and eliminates aggravation. It soothes the emotional processes, providing for subjugation of worries and fears. It is soothing to the nerves and dispels both irritating and negative energy.” Chakra work for this crystal is primarily at the 4th (heart) level. Love energy, however, can help any chakra in need. Good balancing and preventative energy with amazonite contributes to general health maintenance. “It can be used in the treatment of disorders of the nervous system and to dissipate energy blockages which could propagate the improper flow of neural impulses. It has been used to facilitate balancing of the metabolic processes related to calcium assimilation; an elixir of amazonite taken three times a day can be used to rectify a calcium deficiency. Signs of Pisces, Virgo, Aquarius, and Capricorn “Amethyst is a variety of quartz which occurs (throughout the world) either in crystalline or massive form. The associated colour ranges from deep purple to pale lavender. The presence of manganese in clear quartz produces amethyst, while additional amounts of iron content vary the purple colourization.” “Amethyst is a ‘stone of spirituality and contentment’. It facilitates transmutation of lower energies into higher frequencies of both the spiritual and ethereal levels. It is representative of the principles of complete metamorphosis.” While the connection of amethyst to the crown chakra are evidenced in the colors present, there lies beyond that the ability to touch all chakras given the programming to do so. “It balances the energies of the intellectual, emotional, and physical bodies and provides a clear connection between the Earth plane and the other worlds. “Angelite crystallizes in the form of blue and white masses, nodules, and crystals; it occasionally, contains a splash of red hematite. It was discovered in Peru, South America, during the time of the harmonic convergence and is a symbol of the verbalizations and communication of love and light to the world.” “It provides a protective field around the environment in which it is placed; use of an elixir tends to install a shield of protection around the physical body, while an elixir applied to areas of agriculture has been used to suppress infestations of insects.” Angelite serves all chakras, with particular attention received at the 5th (throat). AQUAMARINE “Aquamarine is a variety of beryl which crystallizes prismatically, sometimes vertically striated and, occasionally, terminated with small pyramidal faces. The colour ranges from light blue to green.” Major chakras most served by aquamarine are the fourth (heart) and fifth (throat). This combination serves to make this crystal a stone for facilitating communication from the heart. It also can assist in relieving blockages between the messages of the heart and the communication of those messages, or the willingness to know or communicate those messages. As a means of relieving these blockages aquamarine offers protection from both outward and inward interference of that process. “One way of protecting oneself, temporarily, from pollutants is to imagine the essence of aquamarine in the air on all sides - the difference in the air quality is usually recognizable.” “It has been used in the treatment of swollen glands. AVENTURINE “Aventurine is a variety of mineral (usually quartz or feldspar) which is spangled with bright particles of mica, hematite, etc. The most common colour of aventurine is green; it is used primarily at the heart chakra to both activate and clear. It is also an excellent protector of the heart chakra, providing for a shield to block the entry from those who wish to ‘tap-in’ and use the energy of another.” By both nurturing and protecting the heart energy, aventurine allows one to walk fearlessly into new challenges. “It has been used in rituals of the medicine wheel, to show to the spirit guides the connection with the healing light of the heart. AZEZTULITE “The composition of Azeztulite has not yet been defined. It was found in a Beryllium mine and does contain silica. “When using it in meditation, it facilitates a cleaner and easier entry and assists one in attaining the state of ‘no mind’.” Having no energy is not restful. Azeztulite elicits a calm by tuning to the cellular level, seeking to assist in rebalancing areas which are blocked, strained, or otherwise depleted. Calling forth the base energy of the Kundalini to restore energy flow, this crystal can allow the body to finally find a place of rest and become restored. All chakras respond to Azeztulite. Utilizing it at lower chakras, 1 - 3 assists with physical healing while upper chakras, 5 and up assists with connection with Lighter Consciousness. It is, however, characterized by the rhombohedron crystallization. Calcite is colourless or white and can become green, pink, peach, golden, orange, yellow, red, blue, grey, or black when other compounds blend with it during formation.” Blue calcite resonates with the third (solar plexus/spleen) and fifth (throat) chakras. It can assist in bringing voice to ones personal power, or ones individual meaning. The voice can be vocal or written, but it will come through clearly in any modality. It can help one to communicate their reasons for the choices they make as well as bringing those choices more clearly to ones own understanding. By raising the physical energy through these three chakras, other chakras can become more fluid and responsive. “It protects against envy, fear, and rage, and helps to banish sorrow from the emotional structure.” “The energy of carnelian is favorable with respect to cleansing negativity from other stones. When directed, it provides for a clearing action while directing andy negative energy, which is within the area, toward the light of transmutation.” “It can be used in treatment of neuralgia, gall stones, kidney stones, pollen allergies, and colds. CHAROITE “Charoite crystallizes in the form of masses and as tiny druse upon a host mineral. The major discovery location is Russia, and the colour range includes purple and pink to purple, sometimes with inclusions of quartz and manganese.” “It provides for a synthesis between the heart and crown charkas and combines the higher spiritual dimensions with unconditional love from the physical plane.” Charoite is a highly meditative crystal that calms and relaxes one as it goes about assessing the chakra system and auric field clearing and balancing each as needed. It seeks to restore energy flow throughout the bodies, calling upon other crystals and even plants for assistance as it sees necessary. Charoite heals through direction of the many healing sources available in the physical and spiritual planes. Either ask for specific healing assistance, or allow the crystal to flow on its own, finding and directing as it goes. CHIASTOLITE (CROSS-STONE) “Chiastolite is a variety of andalusite which occurs in the form of stout crystals, exhibiting the axis and angles in a different colour from the rest and producing a coloured cross.” Chaistolite resonates with the sixth and seventh (third eye and crown) chakras. It is a stone of transformation and “crossing over”, whether one is crossing over from the physical to the spiritual in a lifetime, or crossing from one dimension, level of enlightenment, or lifestyle to the next. It helps with astral travel and active meditations, clearing a pathway to follow. CHRYSOCOLLA “Chrysocolla crystallizes in the form of crusts, layers, masses, botryoidal configurations, and microscopic needle-like crystals. There is also a form called drusy chrysocolla which exhibits small crystals covering one or more of the faces of a specimen. Colours range from blue to green and are sometimes brown to black.” The shoppe pieces are the drusy form. Chakras resonating include the fourth (heart) and fifth (throat/thyroid), with energy emanating through the heart, lungs, thymus, thyroid, sinuses, jaw, ears, neck and shoulders. Blood and air flow can be addressed with chrysocolla. Connecting to the South energy, it will show you where you may clear yourself in preparation to offer clearing assistance to the Earth.
