Raphael on Health Part I
Published 3/5/05

From the hands of Raphael, Archangel and Messenger of God.

"Dearest Ones, we speak now of healing and the difference between healing and felling better. Often we are asked to assist with matters of healing only to be half heard and less allowed to assist in such. More often we are left when the one asking to be healed begins to feel better. We are praised and lauded as to our greatness and given gratitudes for the release of impending and real pain. We watch as the receivers of our message shift back easily into patterns that are genesis of the dis-ease which will likely return in time, often with added vigor in its message to the receiver, the dis-eased.

"Healing is a many layered process, some of which results in the physical, emotional, and mental experience of feeling better, some of which results in physical, emotional and mental recognition of the genesis of the pain. Healing is not the bandage upon the wound. Healing is the deep cleansing of the cause of the injury, including all the reasons that the injury occurred. A knee is scraped. The skin needs clearing and time to self-repair. Yet also there is a need to adjust the action which caused the knee to contact the wounding weapon, whatever that may be, in such a way that the wound occurred. Is one watching the details? Must an object be moved? Must one move with more awareness, less speed, more care? Surely, the skin upon the knee will mend, feel better, in time, yet if the causes of the action are not attended it is likely the knee will again suffer injury. How many times will the knee suffer injury before the action is altered to relieve the need for injury? Will the injured person become resistant to moving for fear of injuring the knee again? Will this emotional response then create additional physical messages in the forms of stiff muscles and joints, obesity, or cancers to attempt to eradicate the part being injured? The cycle quickly spins and creates additional calls for healing, which are heeded until the receiver feels better and can return to the cycle once more.

"Feeling better allows one to return to a cycle of injury, illness, and destruction of the life flow. Much as the fighter retires to the corner to be patched enough to return to the fight. There are many patched fighters upon the earth. They feel better.

"Healing takes one from the cycle to walk a path toward Light. It recognizes pains along the way, addresses them directly and moves forward. Healing allows the flow of life to ebb and eddy along the way, but returns to the path released from endless cycles and renewed from the low tides. The path turns and alters as it goes, not to disturb, but to offer a wider view of the landscape of life. A straight and fenced path shows little of the landscape, less of what life offers. One’s path need not cover all ground, but a wise path will offer enough meanderings to allow one to see in additional directions, bringing in additional information and experience of what life is.

"Life is vast. It has a much wider capacity than one lifetime will hold. To walk straight through it is one means of living. It will show you great detail of the path itself. There is value in this. The challenges then are to keep pace and make adjustments to the ground of the path, for it will alter offering the stability of earth, the intuition of water, the inspiration of air, and the cleansing destruction of fire. Each ground asks differing approaches to continue upon the straight path. All too often one following this type of path comes to a halt, unable to continue through the coming change. Yet, the ground is changing with purpose. This is the purpose of a straight path. It takes great skill and adaptation to follow it.

"The turning path offers less challenge in the type of ground, and more challenge in the navigation of the path. There is value in this. The ground may change, and when it does, the follower of the path must decide whether to take the challenge of the ground change, or the challenge of progressing around it. This also takes great skill, for one must see the changes and decide, and once decided must know how to work with the changed ground or how to navigate around it. Again, adaptation - change - is needed to continue upon the path and not stand still upon it.

"It is the standing still which causes the greatest dis-ease and injury. The ground remains and weathers the seasons, but the person does not weather so well. The Light is always ahead when one takes the physical life path. One who stands still upon the path in time watches the Light fade as a sun setting upon a horizon. You see, change happens anyway, either the keep moving upon the path, or the flow of life moving beyond in honor of the Light and in respect for the spherical nature of the ground. And as many times as the Light/sun may rise again from behind, will you take advantage of it and move forward, or remain in place until the ground alters beneath you? For it will. The ground lives and breathes and flows. It changes. What once was earth gives way to water. What once was water gives way to air. What once was air is consumed in fire and the ground renews itself.

"Healing takes one through a complete change, through earth, water, air, and fire. If you settle for feeling better, life is a battle to remain unchanged. If you are healing, you will change. Perhaps you will change a diet, or a job, or a relationship. Yet something will change when you heal. The pattern of feeling better to return to fight will fall to releasing circles and moving forward. For the purposes of your life, you are the center. All others are messages which you may heed or ignore. You may spend endless energy justifying the cycle or you may step out of it. This is navigation of the winding path to the Light. You may spend endless hours cursing the path whose ground has changed, or you can swim, fly or let the flames consume the burdens you have collected along the way. This is the straight path unfolding to the Light. Healing is much more than feeling better, and does not always feel better in all of its stages.

"There is no judgment on choosing to feel better and returning to fight. It is a choice. We offer only insight which may inform your choices. If it serves your choices to feel better, that is the limit of our role - to take you to the point of feeling better. If you seek healing, expect the range of intuition, inspiration, and destruction before fully feeling stable again upon your path toward Light. Intuition tells you where you are upon your path and whether you are progressing upon it. Inspiration brings strength to release from patterns that become endless cycles to allow you return to progressing upon the path. Destruction allows you to move forward with fewer burdens, burning attachments which hold you from moving forward along the path either by their weight or their clinging ties.

"Health is the means of communication through the bodies. The spirit speaks to and through the mind, the body, and the emotions. The mind speaks to and through the spirit, the body and the emotions. The body speaks to and through the spirit, the mind and the emotions. The emotions speak to and through the spirit, the mind and the body. You are a total being. Embodied life is your conversation with God. We listen and we answer.

Peace with You."
